What can you accomplish in a day? Would a sounding board be useful in listening and offering practical advice?
Is it possible that independence, objectivity, and a day of brain-storming could prove useful to you in making decisions?
What critical decisions do you face? What are the alternatives and tradeoffs? What are the implications of acting now?
We provide useful feedback and advice, against a backdrop based on experience, breadth, confidentiality and loyalty.
MeritBSC's One Day Consult:
A Client Told Us To Offer The One Day Consult -- We Listen To Our Clients
We almost called our One Day Consult service a "Jorday". A long standing client, said one afternoon, "You should offer a One Day Consult where you come in, listen, brainstorm and offer your best advise for the day, and that's it."
My reply was that a One Day Consult is an interesting idea, though there are potential problems:
- first, my client knew me for years, a new client doesn't know me from Adam,
- second, there may be big differences in the preparation sought and travel requirements.
- third, new clients expect the first meeting to be free and about getting to know one another.
After thinking about it, my long standing client replied, "You are good at what you do. You are about substance, not fluff. Charge what you need to charge, and offer the One Day Consult".
At MeritBSC, we listen to our clients.
